Christmas Comes Early For Home Owners As Government Announces Extension of HomeBuilder Program

On 29 November 2020, the Federal Government announced an extension of its extremely enticing HomeBuilder program.

The program provides incentives for owners to either build new homes or to have substantial renovations.

For those who are looking to build a new home or have substantial renovations, the Federal Government will give you a grant of $25,000 to use towards your dream home.

The key changes introduced include:

  • An extended deadline for all applications to be submitted. Applications can now be made up until 14 April 2021.

  • An increase to the threshold for applicable new homes in Sydney from $700,000 to $950,000.

  • A change in some licensing requirements.
