Choosing a Lawyer or Solicitor for your Conveyancing and Property Transactions

There are two errors people can make when appointing a solicitor for their property transactions.

The first is that they do not know what to expect from a lawyer so they go online looking for the cheapest one.

Petrol and coffee are products which should be bought on price.  The lawyer handling your most valuable asset should be chosen on the basis of competence first and price second.

Secondly, many people fall into the trap of having a lawyer who does not really want the job.  He or she may really be a litigation or criminal lawyer.  More often than not the file is passed off to a junior in the office and given little consideration by the lawyer engaged by the client.

Conveyancing is generally a straight forward process for a lawyer who has the necessary skills to ensure your transaction goes smoothly and to handle those not-so-straight-forward moments that come up in conveyancing and property matters from time to time.

Expertise in conveyancing is just one factor.

A good working relationship with your agent is also crucial.  In a buoyant market, speed can be critical and quick and complete communication between your lawyer and your agent can be vital; especially if there are multiple buyers.  A good property lawyer will manage everyone buyers to achieve the best outcome for you.  A good property lawyer will put you in the best position to get you the result you want.

Here at Vizzone Ruggero and Associates, Joe Vizzone is a highly competent property lawyer.  He is regularly advising other lawyers on property matters and with 34 years experience as a lawyer there is not much he has not seen in the property game. Let him over see and guide you through what could be the biggest financial transaction in your life.
