End Of Financial Year- Time To Check Your Legal Documents

Like most we here at Vizzone Ruggero Twigg Lawyers are frantically finalising our accounts for the end of yet another financial year.
While it is an important time to check on your financial performance over the previous 12 months, it is also the time to check whether all of your legal documents are in order.
For individuals you should make sure of the following:
That you have an up to date Will. Make sure that the assets you worked hard for go to the people you want to have them should something happen to you.
Have you got a power of attorney? You should consider having a power of attorney so that if you become incapacitated or if you are stuck overseas, that a trust person can manage your affairs.
For businesses it is a time to ensure all of your checks and balances are in place. Do you have up to date employment contracts for your employees? Do you have proper commercial agreements in place with suppliers? It is the perfect time to ensure that you are well placed for a successful 2015-2016 financial year.
