What is a public notary?

A public notary, or a notary public as it is sometimes known, is a person, usually a lawyer who is given special statutory powers to witness documents, administer oaths and perform a range of other administrative duties.

Fortunately, at Vizzone Ruggero Twigg Lawyers, Joe Vizzone is a public notary who has been practising as a notary for over 30 years.

Joe Vizzone is registered as a public notary with the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

Quite often, clients need documents certified or statutory declarations witnessed and executed for overseas countries and jurisdictions. Often, such countries require that such matters are certified by not a normal solicitor but a public notary.

Joe will affix a special seal on the document which is recognised by DFAT and various courts and tribunals around the world.

If you require our public notary services please do not hesitate to contact us on 02 9667 1271 or law@vrltawyers.com.au
